Medical Reasons to Wear a Bra

Every woman has her own reasons for wearing a bra. Some women prefer to wear bras because of the support that they offer their breasts while other women prefer to wear bras because they don’t feel comfortable leaving home without something to cover up their busts.

Are there Medical Reasons for Wearing Bras?

The answer to this question is yes and no. Many medical professionals will tell you that there is no common medical reason for a woman to wear a bra but there are a wide variety of health reasons why women should wear bras.

1. Breast feeding – A woman who has just had a baby or has been breastfeeding her child for some time should wear a bra. Why? Because, during the period of time that she’s breast feeding, her breasts will become full of milk and a special breast feeding bra will to help give her breasts more support and also help her to easily breast feed her baby.

2. Sagging – As a woman ages so does her breasts, to avoid this problem and help her breasts to retain the same “youthfulness” that she enjoyed while she was younger, a bra should be worn.

3. Proper circulation – A bra should be worn to help a woman’s breasts receive proper circulation and avoid getting sweaty as they rub against the skin.

How to Find the Right Bra

  • Before purchasing a bra, it’s important for every woman to think about the manufacturer of the bra and examine how it’s made.
  • Even though a bra may be more inexpensive than another, it’s always important to think about why it’s cheaper because this will save a woman the hassle of having to go back to the store for new barely there bras every six months or less.
  • The most important thing any woman can do when it comes to buying a bra is to get her bra size measured by a women’s lingerie store like Victoria’s Secret because this will enable her to get a bra that’s the exact size for her body.
