Staying healthy for yourself, your friends, family and loved ones is easier than you may think. No one wants to suffer the death of someone they love. You can lessen the chances of that happening earlier in life by taking good care of yourself.
Sugar is one of your enemies. You find it from many sources, not just candies and cakes. Carbs and sugars can go hand in hand, so you need to keep an eye on your carbohydrate intake as well. I’m not saying go on and all protein diet… In fact I don’t recommend an ‘all anything’ or an ‘absolutely no ___’ (carbohydrates, sugar’s, fat, red meats, alcohol) diet. Your body gets the vitamins it needs in order to stay healthy from multiple sources of food, and sometimes supplements. Whereas fat must be avoided in excess, your body actually does need a certain amount of it in order to stay healthy and function normally. Here’s some good news… A glass of red wine every day is actually encouraged.
Try not to use the excuse that you’re too old to start exercising now. You’re never too old to start exercising. Even people who are limited in their movements can exercise whatever portion of their body they still have control over. Even paraplegics have caregivers move their paralyzed limbs in order to avoid muscle atrophy. I’ve seen a TV program called “Sit and be Fit” which assists people whose ambulatory skills are limited stay healthy and physically fit. It’s a great show and is a good starting place for people who don’t feel like they can get up and take a walk as a first step toward fitness.
The thing to remember here is everything in moderation. Too much of a good thing is no longer a good thing… It’s that simple. We can’t live for ever so compare funeral plans to reduce your worries.
