Unless you’ve been spending your time in a faraway galaxy lately, you will more likely than not heard about all the anti-aging cranes and ‘facelift in a jar’ products on the market. Let’s find out who is doing what to assist us in our constant endeavor to look 20 years younger.
Never heard of it right? Will join the club; but CEW stands for Cosmetic Executive Women. And they give awards annually; like the Grammys, the Emmys, CMA’s, People’s Choice Awards and so on. The CEW awards celebrate and honor in ovations in skin care and beauty products. As of late, the category of ‘anti-aging’ has experienced an enormous influx (which reflectively makes a statement of some impact regarding today’s society). Some of the categories are as follows: facial skin care; hair care; men’s grooming; eco friendly products; and sun care. The demonstration of products before the awards are given is set up in a room no smaller than a football field, and is jammed to the brim with products. You can look, Smith and feel your way through all of today’s latest innovations in beauty and skin care.
2011’s favorites consisted of some well known brand names in skincare. Clinique’s Clinical Dark Spot Corrector won the anti-aging prestige category award. Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Serum took the award for anti-aging mass category. DDF’s Revolve 400X Micro Polishing System received honorable mention. Amala Skin Care was a strong contender in the Eco Beauty Award category. A number of hair products received awards and honorable mentions as well, but that’s for another day.
Science and technology are bringing us closer and closer to the distinct possibility of doing away with aging all together. What will they think of next? Doing away with death?
